Beuyant by Bleshüe is a multi-media project which seeks to present an interaction between the life and work of Joseph Beuys and our current socio-political climate, particularly today in America. The ability to draw comparisons between these seemingly disparate areas is realized with the use of pop Americana. Joseph Beuys meets Looney Tunes meets a nation which has reached a new level of divisiveness. Over its course Beuyant has taken the form of repurposed garments, sculpture, home furnishings, video installation, and performance as a means of community outreach.
A point of relatability is the first step in pushing any ideas and content, and the points of unrelatability are what drive new perspectives on ideas and content.
